AXIS Flight Simulation has announced that the company has successfully qualified AXIS IRIS avionics rehost for the ATR 72-600 full-flight simulator (FFS) owned by Aviation Academy Austria.
In addition to this, the company has upgraded the simulator visual system. The FFS’s RSi visual software was updated from XT5 to XT6 and the projectors were also updated to the latest Norxe P10 system.
Christian Theuermann, a member of the executive board at AXIS Flight Simulation, said: “Accomplishing the qualification of our avionics rehost and upgrading to the visual system highlights our dedication to constant improvement and innovation. The ATR 72-600 FFS will continue to support Aviation Academy Austria in training pilots with the latest simulator technology.”
